Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student and flautist piano over three years. She was able to survive on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox made the decision to alter her profession when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in comparison with other Royal Academy students. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She left the band before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she was main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. This is where she first met Dave Stewart with whom she would form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to release her first solo album Diva. The album came out in 1992. Commercially and critically the album was a massive hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs most loved soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. Her first solo album along with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art with the title "Now I Let You go." Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish political activist and singer. After a brief success as a member of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox started her solo career with her first album Diva in 1992. It was the basis of many hits songs such as Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio, features cover versions of No MoreI Love Yous or The Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo album compilations and studio albums.
